Q: I am new to this. Where do I start? How do I get a website name (URL)? How much will it cost?

A: Not to worry! Lautus Media (LM) offers a FREE consultation to help you make the big decision on moving your personal profile online. It is a crazy world out there and it is very easy to get confused when attempting to search out the right information when you are a beginner. We will walk you through all your options for buying a website domain name, hosting packages and design options.

Q: Do I need to write all the content myself?
|
A: Yes, LM will not write the content, artist statement, news, welcome page etc. The content must be provided to us. We will use latin filler text if there is no content text provided to us.

Q: Will LM create a logo and/or specialized graphics for my new site?
|
A: Yes, however outside the basic title banner and site graphics included LM does not provide custom graphic work in the basic personal package pricing. Logos or specialized graphics require a large amount of consultation and graphic work therefore any additional graphics requested will be billed. There will be a pre-approved hourly rate ($40-$50 per hour) on top of the regular package price.

Q: Will LM provide me with photos to use in my website?

A: LM will provide a selection of photos relevant to your personal site that are licensed for your personal use. It is expected that all additional images including photos are provided to LM for the inclusion in the website before it is built. All images provided to LM are required to be client owned or free of copyright infringement.

Q: What if my website crashes?
|
A: LM offers 100% guarantee that your website will be fully functional upon launch. If there are any bugs or development issues with your site LM will fix them at no cost. If your site is not hosted with LM then we cannot be held responsible for server issues however.

Q: Will LM host my website for me?
|
A: LM will offer hosting of up to 1GB at $100.00 per year. If you wish to host your own site, or have server space with a hosting package LM will work with the 3rd party to ensure the website is properly implemented at no cost.

Q: How many pages are included in the template?
|
A: 5 pages: Including a home page and 4 other pages. Examples of additional page types that are common are: about me, portfolio, contact, links etc. Any further pages will be an additional cost.

Q: What type of website template will I be provided with?
|
A: A basic graphic header will be created using basic Windows style fonts. Lautus Media will add text effects and your choice of colors. Any additional graphics will need to be supplied before creation of the website begins.
